Signature is First-Rate Success for Second Generation Company
December 1, 2014
Apartment homes at the new Signature at Schilling Farms in Collierville are leasing as quickly as they can be built. The 250-unit property, which will be completed around mid-year 2015, is the first apartment community developed by Makowsky Ringel Greenberg in over a decade but it is clear that the demand for luxury apartments in this popular Memphis suburb is strong. According to MRG’s COO Jimmy Ringel in this recent Daily News company profile, “Getting it up and done and seeing a plan that started 6.5 years ago come to fruition has been very exciting.” Jimmy, Gary Makowsky and Michael Greenberg represent the second generation of a thriving family business founded in 1967.
At nearly 6,500, MRG manages more apartment units in the Memphis Metro area than any other management company. The ability to leverage a sizable staff of management professionals has given MRG the opportunity to diversify into the management of nearly 1 million square feet of other commercial properties, including smaller retail, industrial and office.
